Dansie Shopping Cart has been designed to handle almost every electronic commerce need. Additional features include the use of flatfile databases, searching of the database for specific products and flexible customization of web page design, shipping costs and taxes. No knowledge of Perl required.
I've used this cart on several client sites, never had a problem and for minor issues customer service is prompt and friendly. Installation instructions are clear even for those with limited experience (which I was when I installed my first Dansie cart). Lots of configuration options makes a very flexible shopping cart.

Easy to use and set up, but the licence stipulates that you keep the link to the author's website on every cart page. If it were free that would be okay, but not at the price they're asking.

Up until at least v3.04, this script has a backdoor that theoretically allows anyone to run commands on the web server.

Very powerful and flexible shopping cart with features found usually only in more expensive products. Don't judge a book by the cover, especially in the case of Dansie.net and their shopping cart product! Support is always prompt and accurate.

Sales tax not handled well. No way to connect to UPS shipping rates using UPS online rating tools. All shipping must be hard coded so only one priority can be assigned to an item.

Dansie Cart is very configurable. The instructions are terse to the point of daunting, but the program itself is truly admirable once it's set up.

On one hand, the Dansie cart is just about the easiest and most versatile cart I've ever encountered. On the other, the Dansie people require that you keep their credit line on every single page of the cart. Try selling that to a client.

By far the best cart for Microsoft Front Page 98 & 2000! I have tested many shopping carts over the past 6 weeks and Dansie cart provides the best product, service, and support.
