BNBBOOK Guest Book Script

It is very simple and easy to configure, but probably offers everything you ever wanted in a guestbook. Dirty word filtering, autoresponder and notification, missing tag and quote mark detector, private message, e-mail address munging, IP address capture, user defined required fields, and more.

No frills, no-nonsense guestbook script. I had it up and running within 15 minutes. Customizing it to match the look of your site can take a while and I wish there was an admin function. Overall, a good bare-bones guestbook script.

They said you can have it up and running in 20 minutes; they weren't lying. For the most part, easy to configure and manipulate even for CGI beginners. The email option can get a little hairy, especially for NT users. Web site and "Read Me" file are very thorough. One warning - as implied in a previous comment, there does seem to be some sort of serious glich when trying to save the HTML page again after you've modified it.

The first CGI script that I ever set up, and works great since (8 months later). It was very easy to change the look. The only thing I miss is an admin function.

I knew nothing about setting up any CGI before this and I was able to do it. One of the features sucks, but otherwise it works well.

The code is easy to manipulate and the readme files help beginners a lot. The color scheme it begins with sucks, but that's easily changed. I've modified it to be a "share an answer to a monthly online question." It has worked pretty well.

Desperately needs any kind of Admin functionality... Useless without it and forget about editing your entries by hand.

A great guestbook script which can be customized to fit your site very easily.
