With the help of several hidden variables in your form, FormMail allows you to set up and form, and using this CGI script have the results e-mailed back to you. Works with any form, and you can use this one script for as many different forms as you please.

It's alright but the code has too much junk. I'd suggest writing your own simple form mail code. I have to look into the security flaws of form mail writing but Matt's is worth the learning experience.

Very poor security - there are far better scripts out there.

This can easily be exploited by spammers to produce an open mail relay.

I've tried about 10 different form processors and this was this first one that worked the first time and did exactly what I needed it too! I have read all the security issues about this script and if you monitor your site I think most of that could be prevented.

Do not use this script. It is too insecure. I had it on my site and it was deleted by my host because spammers were using it.

Matt's script is very popular and used all over the Net because it was one of the first free scripts to do the job. Unfortunately, it is poorly written. To be fair, Matt has plugged some security holes recently, but any script that is poorly written leaves opportunity for more holes that haven't been found yet.
