Big Medium

A content management system (CMS) for web designers; no programming know-how required. It has all of the features you expect of a CMS (version control, workflow, search engine, content syndication, granular editing privileges, Unicode support) but also lots of grace notes for content sites: Pullquotes, image galleries, podcasts, scheduled publication, visitor comments, a WYSIWYG CSS style editor and other goodies.

Best CMS! After evaluating and using free and commercial ($200-$800) CMS programs, none comes even close to Big Medium ($129). Nontechs operate/maintain/edit our website with ease and fun, giving us a voice on a domain previously limited to tech-savvy folks. But BM is not limited to nontechs, webmasters can use all the HTML and codes they want to build.

After almost 3 months of searching for tools and almost going to one of the PHP Nuke type products, I found Big Medium. Set up is so easy even a new website beginer could have this up and running in no time. Excellent support and most of the features you would ask for in a portal. Great documentation. A multitude of features and brilliant support.

I don't have a lot to add to the very positive reviews that appear here already, but just wanted to chime in to say that after four or five months with Big Medium, managing my website has never been easier. Lots of great features and a nice interface. It makes large info/magazine sites as easy to manage as a personal blog.

Best entry-level content manager I've seen. They sure packed a lot of features into it. Someone has put a lot of thought and skill into this.

I'm almost reluctant to recommend that other people use this software, because I don't want the secret to get out! Big Medium has made me look very good indeed -- my web-design clients are thrilled every time to find out that they can add/edit/update their sites on their own. But even if other web builders start picking up on this, it's okay with me: The people behind Big Medium deserve to get filthy rich from this software. It's the best content manager I've seen, certainly at this price.

Big Medium is the slickest I've seen, after having run around in circles for a long while searching for a content management solution. Easy to use, right price, and it works great. Support is very good, too.

I never give anything a 10, but this is as close as it gets. I'm in awe of these scripts. Here's what I particularly love: the content syndication feature (still waiting for rss feeds, though), the printer-friendly and email-this-page links, the easy image loading, and the pullquotes (very cool).
