I'm new to CGI and Perl but have managed to put up a bulletin board, store, and select-a-card all in a few days for each. This vote script is appalling, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I've written twice with no response and after working on it for over two months have decided to give an opinion which I've never done. This script is just awful!

No problems at all with this script. It's been up and running at my site for 2 years with a new survey every 3 weeks. The code was tweaked a bit here and there to better suit my needs, and the location of sub ipcheck was moved to prevent logging of IP on a null vote, but otherwise it tested just fine out of the box. It's a nice base script.

Program works but I don't like how it calls in SSI. Better support for the HTML files in the CGI directly would be helpful.

This script is well commented, but there is one problem: It doesn't work. I followed all the instructions in the read me file, double checked permissions and made sure the scripts were uploaded as text, etc. and it just didn't work.

The directions left me hanging. No permission directions, no saying where files go - it talked about files that were nonexistant!

Not the easiest script to set up, but the graphs look great. Pay attention to the remarks in the instructions about using HTML editors.

This is a dismal program full of syntax errors and terrible documentation. The read me file was completely useless and there is no tech support. I have been working on it for 2 days trying to get it going. Very unfriendly and time consuming to set up a new poll. It still is not working yet.

I set up this script and it ran fine for a few tries, then glitched big time. Now it only returns PerlScript errors, and nothing was changed between when it ran fine and now that it doesn't. The script looks great when it runs, but I wouldnt recommend it at all due to the effort involved in setting it up for results you may never see. Not Fun.
