I've used the Lite version and the Pro version. Even being a relative novice at CGI, I think the only way this program could get easier to install would be if it installed itself. The instructions are straight-forward and the programs do exactly what the company says they do. I've tried others but I haven't found a better program yet.

Well I am still new to CGI although I have never had this much trouble configuring a script. It's the hardest one I have ever done. All I could ever accomplish was the internal 500 error. It was just too difficult.

This program doesn't specify what to put in the variables, I may know perl, but it still confused me.

Didn't really work for NT - misleading.

Very well written script! You cannot beat the price.

Not good, just adds users and lets them go to the page, nothing else...

Difficult to configure, but a wonderful script after that.

I think that this is a COOL password protection script!!! Has all the features you want to maintain a Members protected directory, and it's free too. Not very difficult to setup, although you need a basic knowledge of the .htaccess protection tecnique...I suggest it!

Newbie stand point. It took me a couple of days to set it up with some help and going to the instruction manual on the site. For someone who knows scripts it should be alot easier. It is a nice basic password protect script which I needed. You can delete users from an admin page, which was a plus for me.

Unsurpassed technical support. I had no trouble setting it up (other than me being stupid with the upload) and am very pleased. Definitely a script to look into.

I purchased the professional version of this program and found it to be poorly documented and incomplete. I then contacted support who were rude and unhelpful. I purchased this script to interface with a UK credit card payment processing company and expected an explanation of the script so that I could work out how to interface the two. A complete waste of money and time.

Good and easy to setup. You will just have to make sure that you know your own server very well.

Easy to set up and configure (a couple of guesses about fine points of file location needed) and my group members are delighted with the results. Well done.

Not the best script for this password protection. It's very fussy about what directory it's in. Needs a bit more work.

Sophisticated script. However, documentation is vague and setup is somewhat long. Customization is limited in the LITE version.

Would be 10, but setup is a little time consuming and tricky. Easy to use and manage once it's set up though.

Much better than any other free password script that I've seen. Setup took 10 to 15 minutes. After that it's cake to add/remove users.

Great script. Average difficulty in setting it up, but the ease of use factor is off the scale. Some critical features are only available in the pro version for a fee.

I found that this script is very easy to set up, and is very useful for people who don't have the money to spend on an expensive script. Once it was installed it worked perfectly, although I think that an option to e-mail all members should be included in the lite version.

Looks good, has great functions, but is very fiddly to setup (especially on NT).

This is a very comprehensive CGI script. Although I found it tricky to set up, the interface is peachy!
