Great script and well documented. We added a pile of custom perl to the script with no problems.

I planned to spend the summer working on a gradebook database to post student grades to my website. With DBMan, I set it up in a day. Now what do I do with the rest of my vacation???

Easy to configure. Quite fast: tested on a database with 10000 records (and each record with 12 fields) and obtained a full search in 3 secs. Easy to add modifications.

Excellent. Very usable, very adaptable. It's worth checking the extra resources available before you spend a long time editing the 'look' of you pages though! Someone will have already made it easier.

We are using the SQL version -- very fast, customizable and Alex is great to work with. We currently are using this system and integrating it into a shopping cart with over 1 million sessions per month and the system works perfectly.

Simply the best in this category... Easy setup and configuration. The best part of the script is that its authentication system can even be used for other things too which can be added into it. Great support, FAQs, discussions, mods, etc.

Not for newbies, but a really excellent script. Took me a few head-scratching hours to set up, but runs like a dream... Documentation could use a bit of improving, and the admin feature needs attention (there are addons to help this). Excellent stuff.

Way to go Alex, by far the easiest to setup and use and the best performer by a long shot. For a guy who had no experience or knowledge of Perl, this proved to be childs play to integrate into my site.

A rare site. The scripts all work immediately and exactly as they say. The customer service is second to none and believe it or not gets even better when you register a script for a commercial site. This database has many applications and we are now using it in 3 different circumstances on our site.

Gossamer Threads has come up with scripts that are easy to install, easy to use, and easy to customize. Their scripts are well supported, both by themselves and by their other users, some of whom have created modifications that are just phenomenal, and they're not bashful about sharing them. CGI scripting companies take note: This is one of the best places I've ever seen (And I have seen a -lot-).

Search no more! This script will handle your databases properly. Unbelievably effective, taking into acount that databases are stored in plain text files. Excellent permissions management.

Kudos to Alex. Along with his Links script, I have utilized DBman for other uses and it is also an excellent script. Hard to top this one for database management with the ability to customize, nicely too!, the front end. It can seem overwhelming for someone not used to cgi scripts but hang in there, after you've implemented a few, DBman will be appreciated for its flexibility in configuration. Excellent script.

The service for this script is excellent. I'm a newbie at CGI and don't know perl, but the script is fairly easy to install. However, if you don't know perl you're stuck with what you see from the demo. The database is hard or impossible for folks like me to customize. However, the database works fine.

Debugging features are a great help during setup. Messages tell you where to look for problems instead of giving you a generic "server error" message. Easy to setup and administer, very flexible, and easy to customize.
