| I have been looking for a good site search engine that would not require a lot of manual effort to get up and running. I also needed something that would search PDF files. I stumbled upon this CGI script and it is the best site search engine I have tried to install and use. No problem indexing the PDF’s. This is just what I needed for my website. | I guess it's a case of repeating what has been said already. The script is extremely easy to install and get working. Configuration may need a little experimenting and experience but anyone at all competent should have no problems and the help pages are very extensive. |

| Can you say aweomse?! The auto-CGI installer worked flawlessly, got everything running in under 5 mins and spared me several days of aggravation. The search engine itself is lightning fast and accurate. Once I figured out the whole Admin section and how to set the proper permissions it was rocking! In my opinion, the easiest script I've ever worked with - a must have! |

| The best by far! I tried 4 different search scripts and found them to be very difficult and confusing to install. This script on the other hand had an option to auto install that worked perfectly. Really one of the finest CGI scripts I have ever used! |

| I've never had a day of dissatisfaction with xav/fd scripts or the comprehensive support offered. This search engine allows you to index all of your website or individual sections. There are tons of other options available as well. Setup is very easy for even a novice. Have it running in 10 minutes flat, or customize it to the max in under a day. Highly recommended. |

| I tried several other site search scripts and this was definitely the easiest to install and provides the most useful returns for our web sites. One automatic install went off without a hitch and took ten minutes to index the site. The manual install was a little more time consuming, but still pretty easy. Excellent resource and I'm not nearly as "tech-y" as I'd like to be. |

| Easy to setup and administer. I was able to get the core search engine up and running in less than 20 minutes doing a manual install. It took about an additional 30 minutes to spider my site. This time would probably be less if the automatic install option is used. The search execution times are fast; my site is on a shared server and has approximately 850 files. |

| I have tested several search engines to find the one that would be the best. Fluid Dynamics is the most elegant that I tested. Setup was quick and easy. Parameter settings are administered via an online control panel rather than by editing a text file and then re-uploading. Unwanted files can be excluded from the search. When I had questions about settings I emailed the author and he took time to make sure that I had the information that I needed. |

| This should be rated a 20+. We are now using this script on our Antiques and Collectibles website. It allows for easy updating of all pages. It also allows you to compile data from other websites to use in your own custom search engine! Your own robot is included! This script is the best of the web. Well worth 5 times his charge for it. Absolutely a 20+. |

| If you use the defaults it gives you, the automated install is great, but woe unto you if you want to install to a different area. Very nice AltaVista-like interface, but you have to have a page dedicated for the search (does not have separate HTML that integrates into your existing code) It is all script generated HTML. One file. Desparately needs to be broken into modules and have HTML interface. |

| This script was SLOW!!! It worked OK, but it took 3 minutes on my site... I had it search about 3,000 documents, so I guess that's why. I've had search engines that do it in about 10 seconds. If your site is small, this is ok, and easy to setup. If your site is large, go with another one. |
