Do you know where I can find -----?

All CGI related links that we know of, and more, are found in The CGI Resource Index. We do not know of others, so asking us if we can help you find a certain CGI script won't help.

Also, this is a CGI related Index and does not cover Java, JavaScript, ActiveX, ASP, PHP or other non-CGI languages and programs.

Can I get the CGI scripts used to run this?

Currently they are not available, as they are coded highly to the specifics of the way this site functions and wouldn't be useful in many other situations. Some day, we may clean up the code, comment it, document it and release it so that others can create indexes such as this one, but don't count on it happening soon. The source code totals more than 10,000 lines and the site runs off a PII 350 running Linux and Apache with 384 MB RAM. In order to make the script useful to others, it would also have to be made much more portable, in terms of the way it designs the web pages.

Everything at the site, currently, is original and was created specifically for this site, including graphics. Many sites and scripts have been made to parallel some of the features present here. You might want to check the Directories and Portals category for something you can use on your site to create a similar index in other topic areas.
